HYALURONIC ACID
Skin filling is a technique used to correct furrows, wrinkles and scars, by injecting substances under the area of the skin to be treated, elevating it and thus decreasing its depth. One of the main goals of fillers is to restore the volume of the face, improve its contours and shapes.
Hyaluronic acid is the main filler used today. The human body manufactures this substance, capable of maintaining shapes and contours, but this production drops over the years.
After applying the product, the area may be slightly reddened and swollen. Allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, previous illnesses and routine medication use should be reported to the physician. The risk of allergy is rare. Fillers are performed in combination with other procedures to improve the end result, such as the use of botulinum toxin, lasers and peels.
